2011 menandai tahun ke-47 Baeksang Arts Awards yang diselenggarakan oleh KBS, untuk mengakui keunggulan suatu produksi dalam film dan televisi. 

penghargaan tertinggi untuk acting tahun ini (Daesang penghargaan) diberikan kepada Hyun Bin dari drama yang sangat populer Secret Garden dan Lee Byung Hun dari film I Saw The Devil. (Sayangnya, Hyun Bin tidak hadir dalam upacara penghargaan karena ia sedang menyelesaikan wajib militer.)

 
Malam ini juga menjadi bukti kegembiraan bagi fans JYJ dan Big Bang, karena mereka melihat aktor favorit idola mereka, Park YooChun dan Choi Seunghyun (TOP), membawa pulang nominasi "Newcomer Aktor" dan “Popularity” penghargaan dalam kategori masing-masing dalam TV dan film.
